Should you juice fruits and vegetables together?


Juicing has gained immense popularity as a means to boost your nutrient intake and promote a healthier lifestyle. However, there's a common misconception that combining fruits and vegetables in one juice is the way to go. Ive learned throughout my plant based journey why certain fruits and vegetables shouldn't be juiced together. While others maybe fine with mixing and matching some may have some upset stomachs and other digestive problems. Ive listed 4 main reasons why you shouldn't and what fruits and vegetables you can mix together.



1. Digestive Confusion


One of the primary reasons to avoid mixing fruits and vegetables in your juicer is the potential for digestive confusion. Fruits and vegetables have different digestion rates and processes. Fruits are typically digested more quickly due to their higher sugar content, while vegetables require a slower digestive process. When you combine them in one juice, you might disrupt the natural digestive flow, leading to digestive discomfort, bloating, or gas.


2. Nutrient Competition
